Every time that I  get to shoot at a new venue,  I have a hard time believing that it’s real life. Having us photograph a wedding is an investment at this stage in our business. So for my brides to Be so gracious and even tip you… I mean is that even a thing?   to have someone invest in not only our Wedding Experience but also choose to leave a tip,  is an incredible honor!

 

As soon as we arrived we were so impressed with the gorgeous setting. The Venue was beautiful and the event staff were amazing!!  It was the perfect setting for an intimate wedding! Jake & Erin were surrounded by family and friends as they shared their vows in  boise Idaho. It was absolutely perfect….. no rain… no humidity, and a beautiful sunset!

The property itself isn’t huge and so Jake & Erin were so trusting when I asked them to use unique and unassuming areas for their portraits! They walked dirt roads, we not afraid to get dirty and stepped into a hydrangea bush all for the sake of great portraits, and I couldn’t have been more proud!!!

Mara and I love photographing their beautiful wedding day and we’re so thankful that Jake & Erin you are such an amazing couple. Thank you for allowing us into your life for this special season! It was truly an honor to capture your day for your families! Enjoy your blog post!!!

I loved all of the details..and the getting ready pics are always some of my favorites, as I watch and document the girls all having so much fun.She really is an angel!Have I mentioned how much I love a daddy daughter first look! aghhh. Jake was always so gracious and right there to be sure Erin was as happy as she could be on their wedding day.

Brandon & Sarah

Brandon and Sarah are some of the most adorable people I have ever met. Not only its their family incredibly beautiful from the inside out. But they treated me like family from the time we met. I adored every minute I had with them and I just loved how much they loved to have fun and loved each other.  as you take a peek through this gallery your going to just smile with all the joy you see. I hope you en joy it all just as much as I did. 🙂

As Lauren, MiKayla and I headed down the freeway  Utah bound for a fun filled weekend  with this beautiful, fun, and amazing family of mine whom I adore like crazy and absolutely would not trade for anything in the whole world!!! You might be thinking what could possibly go wrong?  Everything? Based on the look in Mikes eyes;)  or maybe it just might have went perfectly right! Well not so much, LOL.  However, let me just give you a little disclaimer. You just can’t make this stuff up in the Johnson home….  So thank you AnnMarie for going along with my crazy ideas, Mike for putting up with them and for letting me torture you.  We got through it, had a little more fun that we planned for and made some great memories. And I am sure they all Love their Auntie Kris!

Sara & Brandon | Engaged | McCall wedding photographer

As I headed up the hill to McCall the weather and roads just happen to be perfect for this weekend enagement session for Sara and Brandon! Sometimes with our crazy winter weather you just don’t know what you are going to get in the dead of winter, but we were prepared! Warm blankets, hand warmers & treats for the kids. There was only one small series of unfortunate events that took place;)   The road into the cabin was so slushy and icy we couldn’t actually get in. Hey but, it was fun trying! And I did leave early so no worries there.   The Holiday Inn it was for the night. No worries!

Sara & Brandon wanted to shoot in their favorite little town of McCall, Idaho and can I say they nailed it! I mean this girl was not feeling well at all and by the look of these photos, you wouldn’t even know it. I was so proud of them! The kids were amazing!

Megan and Garrett and these babies are always fabulous! and of course  I just  always love it when I get the honor of shooting and watching kids grow up. it literally makes me smile from ear to ear.  From maternity photos, to newborn to Avery’s 1 year old pictures. I honestly hope I am still doing this to one day be able to be strong enough to pull off the wedding of one of these little sweetie pie’s…  Enjoy:)

 

Amber & Ivan | Jerome Idaho | Wedding

Amber & Ivan’s love for each other was pure magic. I loved watching the way they glanced at each other through the night. The sweet moments, The tender kisses & the twinkle in their eyes of fresh love.  It was almost as if there was a little magic in the air . It might be one of my favorite moments of a wedding day. Those sweet tender moments, they are so priceless, those sweet father daughter dances, they melt my heart everytime.

Amber & Ivan | Jerome Engagement |

Ivan and Amber met in high school. Amber was the new girl and Ivan had been there all his life. He said Amber was different from other girls and he wanted to get to know her. Ivan was just a tad too shy to ask for her number so his friend had to do it for him. Soon after that we started talking, and then than became like the best of friends and went everywhere together. Since that day, Ivan and Amber have been inseparable. They are still best friends and have always have fun everywhere they go. This last summer they decided to do a California road trip. One of their stops was Huntington beach. The sun was setting and Ivan took Amber for a walk on the beach. It was there that he got on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Welcome Sweet Miss Avery! Newborn, Idaho

Welcome Princess Avery Ella Rose,   Born  an angel in every little way on July 3rd  at        4:05 a.m.  weighing 7lbs 10oz and  21 inches long.  Yes she is a complete dream.  Look out world, because this little angel is getting ready to come and change it in all her wonder. I hope you are ready. Dream BIG my little angel, dream BIG.

Lexie & Reed Lifestyle session

Had so much fun with these two! Lexie and Reed met in high school, however the sparks didn’t start flying till Reed showed up with Lexie’s little brother one day to go shooting.  Let’s just say it wasn’t long before there were more than guns going off in our house.  Oh did I mention Reed loves water.  Yes, I was dying laughing.  and NO, there is NO ring. we were just having a little fun, in fact so much fun.
