Eric and Rachel met in church,  and one of the reasons I love this so much is because  it reminds me of how i met my husband as well. Their love for each other is just so incredibly sweet, and real. I could see right from the beginning just how much Eric  absolutely cherished his bride to be. They absolutely adore each other but more than that they really take pride in those things that really count, She adores Erics love for the Lord, his integrity and honesty and kindness. These  really are the things that matter in life and I love this about them.

I think my favorite part of my time with Eric and Rachel was just getting to know them. They are so easy to be around, and I can easily see how they are made for each other. Rachel is so much fun, gorgeous, and has the most amazing smile. Eric is so calm, easy to talk to, and smiles at Rachel in a way that will make you melt. I honestly don’t think that these two could take a bad picture and of course they both have smiles to die for!

I am so excited to be apart of these two and their wedding day….

Erin & Jake | Engaged | Boise Engagement Photographer

You may be thinking “Wow, do you  live  in some sort of  magic land, because your images have been so lush and green lately!”,  NO, but that’s just because it’s a crazy and weird summer here in Idaho, this one location was beautiful!

Erin & Jake were so easy to talk to and get to know. As soon as I introduced myself, it felt like we had known them forever! As we walked around Barber Park, I heard about their Jobs, their wedding planning, Nursing school, and some about Jakes Diesel Mechanic shop.

It’s sessions like these that make me so thankful for clients who could be our everyday friends in normal life outside of work! I am so excited for their wedding this September  at Harmony Ranch. After 5 years of shooting weddings, I have yet to photograph a wedding there, and I’m so excited to finally get a chance to! It’s a gorgeous location!

I love how dreamy these feel. Maybe it was Erin’s  stunning smile or amazing dress… maybe it was the lush green meadow in the background… or maybe it was just a great day because I get to work with such great people!! I know this, I can’t wait to see them again! Enjoy getting to know Erin and Jake via their engagement pictures!

Sara & Brandon | Engaged | McCall wedding photographer

As I headed up the hill to McCall the weather and roads just happen to be perfect for this weekend enagement session for Sara and Brandon! Sometimes with our crazy winter weather you just don’t know what you are going to get in the dead of winter, but we were prepared! Warm blankets, hand warmers & treats for the kids. There was only one small series of unfortunate events that took place;)   The road into the cabin was so slushy and icy we couldn’t actually get in. Hey but, it was fun trying! And I did leave early so no worries there.   The Holiday Inn it was for the night. No worries!

Sara & Brandon wanted to shoot in their favorite little town of McCall, Idaho and can I say they nailed it! I mean this girl was not feeling well at all and by the look of these photos, you wouldn’t even know it. I was so proud of them! The kids were amazing!

Lexie & Reed Engaged! | Boise Idaho | Engagement Photographer |Adventure Awaits

Do fairy tales still happen?  Does that night in shining armor  still ride in on his white horse to carry his princess off to another land? Does Chivalry still exist?  Well ladies I believe when we are faithful and patient in Gods plan, He blesses us in the big things.

Adventure Awaits!  Lexie and Reed’s adventure began almost 2 years ago when I was in Japan, Ohh, I should fill you all in I am also her mom and photographer.  While Reed came over to go shooting with Travis that might be where it all began, the friendship, the fun, the entertainment and the the joy, laughter and love that has filled our home from that moment on.

From that day forward Reed has become a part of our family, yes including dinners at night.  He treats her like the princess we have always wanted for our little girl to marry, he loves God with all of his heart, he works very hard and he has the heart of a servant! it just doesn’t get much better than that.  Their personalities balance each other out which we love, it’s a good thing to because she’s got a little sas, which he says he loves’ LOL, I guess we all  do, it’s what keeps our home laughing in tears most days. She does bring us so much JoY! and I just can’t imagine it any other way.  Congratulations you to and welcome to the family Reed 🙂

Carrigan & Maddie | Idaho Engagement |Engagement Photographer

These two are the cutest and we seriously had so much fun out at the Chateau Des Fleurs and in Hidden Springs.

This beautiful girl had the surprise of her life February 18 at The Vintage Wedding Show hosted at the Chateau des Fleurs! It was the day after her 18th birthday. Maddie was part of the fashion show and Carrigan was most definitely her Prince. She had NO clue he would propose right there on the runway for all to see. Maddie’s favorite part of the evening was definitely at the end of the fashion show when Carrigan walked down the runway while their song was playing. Maddie was videoing him walking down the runway and suddenly he stopped in front of her chair. I would imagine this princess had the sweetest of dreams that night, that is, if she slept at all.

Amber & Ivan | Jerome Engagement |

Ivan and Amber met in high school. Amber was the new girl and Ivan had been there all his life. He said Amber was different from other girls and he wanted to get to know her. Ivan was just a tad too shy to ask for her number so his friend had to do it for him. Soon after that we started talking, and then than became like the best of friends and went everywhere together. Since that day, Ivan and Amber have been inseparable. They are still best friends and have always have fun everywhere they go. This last summer they decided to do a California road trip. One of their stops was Huntington beach. The sun was setting and Ivan took Amber for a walk on the beach. It was there that he got on one knee and asked her to marry him.

You see, he loves to fish, hunt & skip rocks but it was her joyful smile, contagious joy, bright eyes and kind spirit that reeled him in, and his steady, stable, strong love for her that kept him.

Three years of a casual friendship, some casual flirting in high school, the way she would tickle the back of his neck in their Ornithology class because he was so ticklish. Those high school halls when he would so sweetly kick her heels as she would walk by, who would have ever guessed that a few more years would have slipped by before God’s plan really would begin to unfold. It would not be before Reed walked in the door to shoot with Travis which also just happed to be Lexi’s little brother before he would soon realize he was about to embark on the journey of a lifetime that would change the course of his life forever.

Lexie and Reed, thank you so much for sharing your love with us as you adventure into new places, as God takes you both into new waters. I new from the moment I first met Reed and watching you two be in love that God had a special plan and purpose for your life together.

PS.  Thank you for being such dazzling models and helping me on this prodject I am so excited to share with everyone the fun new surprise we will have coming up at the beginning of the New Year!

Had to much fun with these two love birds, they drove in from Montana to get there engagement pics done what an amazing journey they have ahead of them. Zac you were amazing. Always love and serve each other. Never be afraid to say you are sorry,  always forgive and respond the way Jesus did. and  always know that the  first to forget is the happiest;) Stan says I am always good at this one because. Forgiveness is simply not bringing back up the past. I could not be happier for you both!

Mark & Tami Ortega Tahoe Nevada

It all started so many years ago, actually from the time i was just a small girl at my Uncle Sterley’s church. He being Mark that his name was Jethro and I had the most amusing of names he could come up with was  Elle Mae than at some point down the road we had to do this thing called growing up, taking on responsibilities, getting a job,getting married, Building families etc…  and the list goes on. But my favorite part of this story is that over 30 years down the road 9 hours and 500 miles aways. Yes, we are all still very much connected. We even had a season where we lived as neighbors.  Ohh Im sure you are asking your self right now, Do you thing he still calls her Elle Mae?    You guessed correctly, yes he does. We love the Ortega family and look forward to another 30 years together in this Journey of life. And Tami, I just love doing life with her, this girl would be there for me at the drop of a hat and I am pretty sure laughing together is among one of our favorite things to do. You remember those kinds of friends that stand the test of time… She is another one… So many to list.
