As Lauren, MiKayla and I headed down the freeway  Utah bound for a fun filled weekend  with this beautiful, fun, and amazing family of mine whom I adore like crazy and absolutely would not trade for anything in the whole world!!! You might be thinking what could possibly go wrong?  Everything? Based on the look in Mikes eyes;)  or maybe it just might have went perfectly right! Well not so much, LOL.  However, let me just give you a little disclaimer. You just can’t make this stuff up in the Johnson home….  So thank you AnnMarie for going along with my crazy ideas, Mike for putting up with them and for letting me torture you.  We got through it, had a little more fun that we planned for and made some great memories. And I am sure they all Love their Auntie Kris!

Jake & Erin | Married |Boise Wedding Photographer

Every time that I  get to shoot at a new venue,  I have a hard time believing that it’s real life. Having us photograph a wedding is an investment at this stage in our business. So for my brides to Be so gracious and even tip you… I mean is that even a thing?   to have someone invest in not only our Wedding Experience but also choose to leave a tip,  is an incredible honor!

 

As soon as we arrived we were so impressed with the gorgeous setting. The Venue was beautiful and the event staff were amazing!!  It was the perfect setting for an intimate wedding! Jake & Erin were surrounded by family and friends as they shared their vows in  boise Idaho. It was absolutely perfect….. no rain… no humidity, and a beautiful sunset!

The property itself isn’t huge and so Jake & Erin were so trusting when I asked them to use unique and unassuming areas for their portraits! They walked dirt roads, we not afraid to get dirty and stepped into a hydrangea bush all for the sake of great portraits, and I couldn’t have been more proud!!!

Mara and I love photographing their beautiful wedding day and we’re so thankful that Jake & Erin you are such an amazing couple. Thank you for allowing us into your life for this special season! It was truly an honor to capture your day for your families! Enjoy your blog post!!!

Brandon and Sarah are some of the most adorable people I have ever met. Not only its their family incredibly beautiful from the inside out. But they treated me like family from the time we met. I adored every minute I had with them and I just loved how much they loved to have fun and loved each other.  as you take a peek through this gallery your going to just smile with all the joy you see. Taylor & Tricia | Family Photographer | Eagle Idaho

I truly believe some girls walk into your life that are just meant to stick around for a lifetime. I have had the honor of doing Tricias photos since she was in high school as a rodeo queen. Meridian Lions Rodeo Queen,  and Miss Rodeo Idaho.  For the 6 months she  traveled with Lauren as MRI, we got to know each other pretty well on an entirely different level  –  hanging as “friends” and you know me, the all so famous queen mom AKA  ” Lauren’s mom”   I’m sure Tricia’s momma knows this one all to well :).  I learned so quickly their families are absolutely priceless. both Tricia’s and Taylors. and I am beyond blessed to count them as a part of my clan.

I love that I got to not only do her wedding, but her first baby and family trio. It literally makes m heart melt with so much happiness.

I hope you enjoy this little peak at our early morning Sunrise shoot last Sunday. the weather was perfect and the help was even better, thanks Dee and Shirly for all the ranch and baby hands! your both rockstars. 

Eric + Rachel |Engaged | Eagle Wedding Photographer

Eric and Rachel met in church,  and one of the reasons I love this so much is because  it reminds me of how i met my husband as well. Their love for each other is just so incredibly sweet, and real. I could see right from the beginning just how much Eric  absolutely cherished his bride to be. They absolutely adore each other but more than that they really take pride in those things that really count, She adores Erics love for the Lord, his integrity and honesty and kindness. These  really are the things that matter in life and I love this about them.

I think my favorite part of my time with Eric and Rachel was just getting to know them. They are so easy to be around, and I can easily see how they are made for each other. Rachel is so much fun, gorgeous, and has the most amazing smile. Eric is so calm, easy to talk to, and smiles at Rachel in a way that will make you melt. I honestly don’t think that these two could take a bad picture and of course they both have smiles to die for!

I am so excited to be apart of these two and their wedding day….

Erin & Jake | Engaged | Boise Engagement Photographer

You may be thinking “Wow, do you  live  in some sort of  magic land, because your images have been so lush and green lately!”,  NO, but that’s just because it’s a crazy and weird summer here in Idaho, this one location was beautiful!

Erin & Jake were so easy to talk to and get to know. As soon as I introduced myself, it felt like we had known them forever! As we walked around Barber Park, I heard about their Jobs, their wedding planning, Nursing school, and some about Jakes Diesel Mechanic shop.

It’s sessions like these that make me so thankful for clients who could be our everyday friends in normal life outside of work! I am so excited for their wedding this September  at Harmony Ranch. After 5 years of shooting weddings, I have yet to photograph a wedding there, and I’m so excited to finally get a chance to! It’s a gorgeous location!

I love how dreamy these feel. Maybe it was Erin’s  stunning smile or amazing dress… maybe it was the lush green meadow in the background… or maybe it was just a great day because I get to work with such great people!! I know this, I can’t wait to see them again! Enjoy getting to know Erin and Jake via their engagement pictures!

I have always believed it’s the friends we meet along the way that help us appreciate life’ journey.  Freya is  one of those friends, she walked into our home/life several years ago when Lauren was queening and she was competing for Miss Rodeo Idaho. This girl is not only a beautiful momma, wife and incredible business owner. She has rocked all of the  challenges that life has tossed her way with grace. She loves people,  Jesus and she adores her Husband Colton! He’s one lucky man. Her children are her world, and they love their mom. Sterling is so smart and full of personality our little  Princess Verity, well I got to meet her and she was as sweet as pie… and growing up too fast already.   I know this any one who gets to meet this beautiful family will go home better for it! If only they lived closer to me, I always miss them dearly…  Good friends are hard to come by these days  so when you find them treat them right always be a blessing and go the extra mile. You will be glad you did 🙂

Abi & Rhett are the sweetest couple in the world, young and in love like many of us did so long ago. Adventures planned packed and ready for the future.   The day started out as planned while the girls were all getting ready at the Edgewater Event  Center in Eagle.    All of the details were just perfectly beautiful.  Before you know it we were off to the church for the Ceremony  then back to EdgeWater for more fun for the reception, food, dancing and more…

Missa & Nader | Seattle & Bothel Washington | Wedding Photographer

Let’s get the summer kicked off with this beautiful new family in Seattle Washington.  The wether was perfect  and the family and friends for the week were just incredible!  If you Know Missa and Nadder at all you already know they have a heart of gold and I am pretty sure this is a match made in heaven.

Missa finished her degree and will be starting her nursing up this summer, so this is so exciting to start off their new marriage with and Nader  does housing management so, they will be a busy couple while living in about 30 min from down town Seattle.

As far as the wedding day went, I would say it went pretty perfect she had family and friends were round all day to help. the weather was a dream…  and my beautiful bride and groom couldn’t have been moore perfect.

*** I also want to give a BIG shout out to Michael Quintana  Missa’s Brother for helping me shoot this day… He helped with the mens getting ready and the first look when he wasn’t busy being in the wedding. He did a great job… Thanks Michael… we love you.. ***

Kevin & Cheryl | Married | Idaho Wedding Photographer

A classic Idaho country wedding right in the heart of WINDY idaho on a beautiful spring day. Well almost perfect spring day! Since we started out the morning with crazy rain, high winds that broke the tent and my poor bride and groom had to order a new one. So this took on a whole new meaning of the wedding day going a whole lot of wrong. But let me tell you they were troopers because this was a 3 hour delay no one planned on!  But guess what here in Idaho The troops always pull together and make things happen! so with out a hitch, things got done, and our bride didn’t get to stressed and we carried on with out to much delay!   Since we had such a late winter the trees had not budded quite the way she had hoped, but once again she was a trooper because at the end of the day Miss Cheryl and Kevin get to get married! And  on a totally different note, I am beyond proud of these two, they have waited and done things right! and I can’t even wait to see what God has planned for these two love birds next. Heres to you Kevin & Cheryl!
